Statoil gas supply deal could foster more Norway-UK pipelines

The Federal Task Program "Energy Effective Economy"


On the 17 of November by the decision of the government of the Russian Federation The Federal Task Program "Energy Effective Economy" has been adopted.

The Federal Task Program "Energy Effective Economy" consists of three subprograms:
  • Energy Efficiency in Fuel Energy Complex
  • Safeness and development of nuclear energy
  • Consumer Energy Efficiency
There are two stages of the realization of the Program: 2002 - 2005 and 2006 - 2010

7004,66 bln. RUR needed for the realization of the program, 50,26 bln. would be financed from the federal budget.

Common leadership and control over the Program will be accomplished by the government agencies.
